Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep – Perched atop the Doi Suthep Mountain lies the golden temple complex of Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep.  Doi Suthep is an important spiritual temple in Phuket and a popular tourist spot.  The beautiful colours and architecture make it well worth a visit.

Doi Inthannon National Park – Thailand’s highest peak, Doi Inthannon, is recognized as a sanctuary for a range of creatures.  A bird-watchers paradise, this national park is home to over 360 different species that are not seen elsewhere in Thailand.  The top of Doi Inthannon is also home to two Chedis, dedicated to the King and Queen.

Wat Chedi Luang – Build over 600 years ago under the reign of King Saen Muang Ma, was the impressive Wat Chedi Luang Buddhist temple.  Now only ruins remain of this historic sight. The temple featured a large pagoda that at its peak measured 80 metres high.

Doi Pui Tribal Village & National Park – A national park renowned for its beautiful scenery and lavish waterfalls, Doi Pui is home to the Mae Sa Hmong Hill Tribe. A small village of around 400 inhabitants, where farming and weaving are the way of life. Purchase a sample of their expert craftsmanship as a holiday souvenir.

Wiang Kum Kam: The Ancient Underground City – The former capital city of the Lanna Kingdom, Wiang Kum Kam became buried after years of flooding only to be rediscovered in the 1980s.  Since its rediscovery, it has become a popular tourist attraction due to its historic significance and architecture. Take a tour around the area and explore the historic side for yourself.
